Student Art Program

YEG is looking forward to showcasing student artwork in the terminal! We are invested in our community and our students and we want to give students the opportunity to display their art.

Up to 30 students will be able to display their artwork on the terminal’s Mezzanine level, pre-security

Between March 5 and April 30, email us a photo of your artwork along with a description and name of the work. Send it to wow@flyeia.com. Please include your name, age, mailing address in the email message. There is a limit of one entry per person and you can only enter by sending us an email. (Please don’t drop your artwork off at the terminal).

Eligibility

To be eligible you must be in Grade 7-12, between the age of 12-18 years old and a resident of Alberta. Your art should have a positive, uplifting theme, somehow relating to travel, airports, or dream destinations. It can be a pencil sketch, ink drawing or a painting! It needs be on a 16” high x 20” wide canvas (1/2” thick). (You should be able to buy a canvas at any local art or craft store for under $10).

A panel of judges will review all submissions and select 30 art pieces to be displayed. If your art is selected, we will notify you by email and arrange for your art to be sent to the airport. (We will only contact you if your art is selected). We will send you a shipping package with a shipping label so you can send us your canvas masterpiece to display. We will also have a small label by your art on the wall with your first name, and the name/description of your art. To thank you and congratulate you for being selected, you will receive an official YEG certificate, a $250 honorarium and a YEG sketchbook prize pack! (valued at $60).

If you change your mind and don’t want to have your art displayed for any reason, that is ok and we will select another entry. Thank you for your interest!

Your art will be displayed for up to two years. We can send you your artwork back at the end of the display time, but please let us know by emailing wow@flyeia.com. Thank you!
