The MOU will focus on improved facilities and access to sustainable aviation fuel for the Edmonton Metro Region
July 20, 2023 (Edmonton, AB) – Edmonton International Airport (YEG) and SixRing have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to commit to working together to advance the use of biofuels, including sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), in the aviation industry. The partnership between SixRing and Edmonton International Airport will support the development of a commercial-scale production facility in the Edmonton Metro Region.

SixRing Inc is an Alberta-based firm that has designed a technology platform to convert underutilized, non-food, biomass into a range of products for processing into biofuels including SAF.

SixRing™ is a Calgary-based bio-industrial firm that has designed a patented technology platform to convert underutilized, non-food, biomass into a range of products for processing into advanced biofuels, including sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). 20 juillet 2023 (Edmonton, Alberta) – L’Aéroport international d’Edmonton (YEG) et SixRing ont signé un protocole d’entente pour s’engager à travailler ensemble afin de faire progresser l’utilisation des biocarburants, y compris le carburant aviation durable (CAD), dans l’industrie de l’aviation. Le partenariat entre SixRing et l’Aéroport international d’Edmonton appuiera le développement d’une installation de production à l’échelle commerciale dans la région métropolitaine d’Edmonton.
