This is a list of Terms and Conditions for contests and promotions currently happening at EIA.

EIA rewards

By registering in the EIA rewards program or jetSet rewards program, I accept these terms and conditions for “The program”.

As a member, we will send you monthly e-mail communications of our rewards program offers and contact you if you have won any of our prizes.

The program includes rewards and benefits from participating partners within EIA services including jetSet parking, EIA parking and other participating merchants and businesses within Edmonton International Airport property.  Members of jetSet rewards will also receive EIA rewards offers and be eligible for all contests and draws within the EIA rewards program.

By entering the information requested herein and participating in the [EIA rewards or jetSet rewards Program – herein the “Program”], you hereby authorize and: (a) grant Edmonton Airports the right to use your name, mailing address, and e-mail address (herein “Personal Information”) for the purpose of administering the Program, including but not limited to contacting you; (b) grant Edmonton Airports the right to use your Personal Information for publicity and promotional purposes relating to the Program, in any and all media now known or hereafter devised, without further compensation to you, unless prohibited by law; and (c) acknowledge that Edmonton Airports may disclose your Personal Information to third-party agents and service providers in connection with any of the activities selected by you as set out herein. Edmonton Airports will use your Personal Information only for the purposes identified herein, and shall protect all Personal Information in a manner that is consistent with the Edmonton Airports’ Privacy Statement located at: https://flyeia.com/terms-of-use/

Edmonton Airports reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to terminate the [program], in whole or in part, and/or modify, amend or suspend the [program], and/or the terms thereof in any way, at any time, for any reason without prior notice.

Edmonton Airports reserves the right to offer different benefits to different groups within the [program] based on geography or industry sector as an extension of the [program]. Edmonton Airports reserves the right to change these benefits without notice.

CONTEST RULES FROM EIA: You are automatically entered by signing up for the EIA rewards or jetSet rewards program for all monthly prizes. Prizes must be accepted as awarded. No substitutions. No cash value. Employees of Edmonton Airports and their immediate family members are not eligible to win prizes from EIA rewards or jetSet rewards program and contests.

Special offers for connecting passengers are only available to passengers starting their trip from targeted areas with connecting flights to EIA.  Edmonton and area residents are not eligible for these limited offers, but are still able to receive all the great, main EIA rewards benefits.

EIA REWARDS – SUNCOR: Additional offers available only to Suncor employees, contractors and joint venture partners as determined by Suncor. All winners to be verified by Suncor. Registration for EIA rewards must be completed via the Suncor registration page.


“FUN FLYING FRIDAY FACEBOOK CONTEST”

EDMONTON REGIONAL AIRPORTS AUTHORITY’S “FUN FLYING FRIDAY FACEBOOK CONTEST” (HEREIN THE “CONTEST”) SHALL BE CONSTRUED AND EVALUATED ACCORDING TO APPLICABLE CANADIAN LAW.  VOID IN WHOLE OR IN PART WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW. ENTRY IN THE CONTEST CONSTITUTES ACCEPTANCE OF THESE CONTEST RULES (HEREIN THE “CONTEST RULES”). NO PURCHASE NECESSARY.

1. ELIGIBILITY

To be eligible for this Contest, an individual must:

be of the age of majority in Alberta, Canada; and
comply with all Contest Rules.

2. CONTEST PERIOD

The Contest runs every Friday from 8:00 a.m. (Edmonton Time) until 3:00 p.m. (Edmonton Time) (the “Friday Post Time”) until Edmonton Regional Airports Authority chooses to no longer run the Contest, at which time the Contest closes. Edmonton Regional Airports Authority reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to not run the weekly Contest on a specific Friday for holiday or other operational reasons.

3. HOW TO ENTER

Subject to Section 6 herein, entrant may enter the Contest by correctly commenting on clues for the Contest on @flyeia Facebook during the Friday Post Time (the “Clue Posts”). Entrant must be able to correctly identify the photo of the non-stop destination shown on the @flyeia Facebook post to be eligible to win any prize. The winner for the week will be announced on each Friday by 4:00 p.m. (Edmonton Time).

4. PRIZE SPONSORS

The prizes are sponsored by Edmonton Regional Airports Authority (hereinafter referred to as the “Sponsor”).

5. PRIZE

There is one (1) prize awarded each week consisting of merchandise to be purchased by Sponsor or supplied by Edmonton International Airport merchants, to a maximum value of $50.00 (the “Prize”).

6.       VALID ENTRIES

In order to be eligible for a weekly Prize, entry requirements are as follows:

All entries must be received during the Friday Post Time;
Entrant must be able to correctly identify the photo of the non-stop destination shown on the @flyeia Facebook post to be eligible to win any Prize; and
Entries will be declared invalid if they are lost, late, illegible, incomplete, irregular, forged or mechanically reproduced.

7. ELIGIBILITY

All employees of the Sponsor, along with their immediate family are not eligible to participate in the Contest. For the purpose of these Contest Rules, “immediate family” means husband, wife, spouse, mother, father, brother, sister, son and/or daughter, whether or not they reside in the same household. Sponsor shall have the right at any time to require proof of identity and/or eligibility to participate in the Contest. Failure to provide such proof may result in disqualification. All personal and other information requested by and supplied to Sponsor for the purpose of this Contest must be truthful, complete, accurate and in no way misleading. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any entrant, should any entrant at any stage supply untruthful, incomplete, inaccurate or misleading personal details and/or information.

8. GENERAL RESTRICTIONS CONCERNING PRIZES

Prizes must be accepted as awarded and cannot be transferred, assigned, substituted or redeemed for cash or other form, except in the Sponsors’ sole discretion.

9. WINNER SELECTION

(a)   The winning weekly entries for the Prize will be selected at random from all eligible entries received during a Friday Post Time before 3:00 p.m. (Edmonton Time).  The weekly prize draw for a Prize will be held at the offices of the Sponsor on a Friday before 4:00 p.m. (Edmonton Time). The winner may win a Prize for this Contest, more than once, provided they meet the entry requirements of the Contest at the time an entry is made;

(c)  The odds of being selected as any Prize winner is dependent upon the number of eligible entries received.   Before being declared a Prize winner, the potential winner shall be required to answer, without assistance of any kind, whether mechanical or otherwise, a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question during a pre-arranged telephone call or face to face meeting, comply with these Contest Rules; and

(d)     Prize winners will be notified by Facebook within three (3) hours from the draw and then directed to message the Sponsor for details on how to claim their prize. Upon notification, the selected potential winner must respond to the Sponsor as directed within three (3) business days of such notification. If the selected potential winner does not respond in accordance with these Contest Rules, they may be disqualified and will not receive the Prize and another potential winner may be selected. Sponsor is not responsible for the failure for any reason whatsoever of a selected potential prize winner to receive notification or for Sponsor to receive a selected potential winner’s response.

10. RELEASE

The winner of a Prize confirms that it: (i) is eligible for the Contest and compliance with these Contest Rules; (ii) accepts of  a Prize as offered; (iii) will release the Sponsor and its affiliates, employees, directors, officers, suppliers, agents, sponsors and administrators (collectively, the “Releasees”) from any and all liability for any loss, harm, damages, cost or expense arising out of participation in this Contest, participation in any Contest-related activity or the acceptance, use, or misuse of a Prize, including without limitation costs, injuries, losses related to personal injuries, death, damage to, loss or destruction of property, rights of publicity or privacy, defamation, or portrayal in a false light, or from any and all claims of third parties arising there from; (iv) agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Releasees from any and all liability relating to any loss, harm, damages, cost or arising from  Prize-related activity or during any guest’s use or misuse of a Prize, including without limitation costs, injuries, losses related to personal injuries, death, damage to, loss or destruction or property, rights of publicity or privacy, defamation, or portrayal in a false light, or from any and all claims of third parties arising from the actions of the guest; and (v) grants to the Sponsor the unrestricted right, in the Sponsor’s discretion, to produce, reproduce, publish, broadcast, communicate by telecommunication, exhibit, distribute, adapt and otherwise use or re-use a Prize winner’s photograph, likeness, voice, facebook post and biography, in any and all media now known or hereafter devised, in connection with the Contest and the promotion and exploitation thereof.

11. INDEMNIFICATION BY ENTRANTS

By entering the Contest, each entrant releases and holds the Releasees harmless from any and all liability for any injuries, loss or damage of any kind to the entrant, Releasees, or any other person, including personal injury, death, or property damage, resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from acceptance, possession, use or misuse of any Prize, participation in this Contest, any breach of these Contest Rules, or in any prize-related activity. Each entrant agrees to fully indemnify Releasees from any and all claims by third parties relating to the Contest, without limitation.

12. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

Sponsor assumes no responsibility or liability for lost, late, misdirected or incomplete entries, notifications, responses, replies or any release that may occur. Sponsor is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information. Sponsor assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of entries. Each entrant assumes liability for injuries caused or claimed to be caused by participating in the Contest, or by the acceptance, possession, use of, or failure to receive a Prize. Sponsor assumes no responsibility or liability in the event that the Contest cannot be conducted as planned for any reason, including those reasons beyond the control of the Sponsor, such as tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, or corruption of the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Contest.

13. CONDUCT

By entering this Contest, each entrant agrees to be bound by these Contest Rules. Each entrant further agrees to be bound by the decision of the Sponsor, which shall be final and binding in all respects. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any entrant found to be: (i) violating the Contest Rules; (ii) tampering or attempting to tamper with the entry process or the operation of the Contest and/or (iii) acting in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE THE CONTEST OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS. SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK REMEDIES AND DAMAGES TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO CRIMINAL PROSECUTION.

14. PRIVACY / USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

By participating in the Contest, each entrant: (i) grants to the Sponsor the right to use their name, mailing address, telephone number, facebook post, identity on facebook, twitter, and/or instagram, and e-mail address (“Personal Information”) for the purpose of administering the Contest, including but not limited to contacting and announcing the winners; (ii) if selected as  Prize winner, grants to the Sponsor the right to use their facebook post, name, likeness and for publicity and promotional purposes relating to the Contest, in any and all media now known or hereafter devised, without further compensation unless prohibited by law; and (iii) acknowledges that the Sponsor may disclose their Personal Information to third-party agents and service providers of the Sponsor in connection with any of the activities listed in (i) above. The Sponsor will use entrants’ Personal Information only for identified purposes, and protect entrants’ Personal Information in a manner that is consistent with the Sponsors’ Privacy Statement located at https://flyeia.com/terms-of-use/.

15. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

(a)     By submitting a post for this Contest, entrant grants the Sponsor: (i) the rights to all intellectual property in that post; and (ii) a waiver of moral rights for the post submitted in favour of the Sponsor. You also represent that: (i) you have all rights, licenses and permission and consents necessary to submit your post; and (ii) your post does not and will not infringe or violate the rights of any third party or entity.

(b)     All intellectual property of the Sponsor, including but not limited to trade-marks, trade                names, logos, designs, promotional materials, drawings, illustrations, slogans and representations are owned by or under the licensed use of the Sponsor and/or its affiliates. All rights are reserved. Unauthorized copying or use of any of the Sponsor’s copyrighted material or any of the Sponsor’s intellectual property without the express written consent of its owner is strictly prohibited.

16. TERMINATION

Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to terminate the Contest, in whole or in part, and/or modify, amend or suspend the Contest, and/or the Contest Rules in any way, at any time, for any reason without prior notice.

17. LAW

The Contest is subject to applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws and regulations. These Contest Rules are subject to change without notice in order to comply with any applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws or the policy of any other entity having jurisdiction over the Sponsor. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of the Contest Rules or the rights and obligations as between the entrant and the Sponsor in connection with the Contest shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Alberta including procedural provisions without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules or provisions that would cause the application of any other jurisdiction’s laws.

18. LANGUAGE DISCREPANCY

In the event of any discrepancy or inconsistency between the terms and conditions of the Contest Rules and disclosures or other statements contained in any Contest-related materials, including but not limited to Contest entry forms, or point of sale, television, print or online advertising, the terms and conditions of the Contest Rules shall prevail, govern and control.

19. CURRENCY

References to dollars or $ means Canadian dollars, unless otherwise stated.

20. USE OF SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS

This Contest is sponsored solely by Edmonton Airports, and in no way is this Contest sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with any social media platform.


“OCTOBER AND NOVEMBER EIA REWARDS VACATION GIVEAWAY” CONTEST

EDMONTON REGIONAL AIRPORTS AUTHORITY’S (“EDMONTON AIRPORTS”) “October and November EIA rewards Vacation Giveaway” CONTEST (HEREIN THE “CONTEST”) SHALL BE CONSTRUED AND EVALUATED ACCORDING TO APPLICABLE CANADIAN LAW. VOID IN WHOLE OR IN PART WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW. ENTRY IN THE CONTEST CONSTITUTES ACCEPTANCE OF THESE CONTEST RULES (HEREIN THE “CONTEST RULES”).

No purchase required. Contest begins on October 1, 2019 at 09:00 a.m. Mountain Time and ends on November 30, 2019 at 4:00 p.m. Mountain Time. There is a total of ONE prize available to be won as follows: FLIGHT CERTIFICATE REDEEMABLE AT PAULL TRAVEL FOR TWO NON-STOP FLIGHTS AND ACCOMODATIONS TO ANY NON-STOP SUN DESTINATION (approximate retail value will be up to: $3,000). Skill-testing question required. Open to legal residents of Canada, excluding Quebec, who are age of majority in the province or territory of residence at time of entry.   1. ELIGIBILITY

This Contest is open to legal residents of Canada, excluding Quebec, who have reached the age of majority in their province or territory of residence at the time of entry, and are legally permitted to travel outside of Canada and to the chosen destination(s), with the exception of employees of the Sponsor, its parent, related and affiliated companies, subsidiaries, departments or agencies, franchisees, suppliers, advertising and promotional agencies, contest administrators, and any other parties engaged in the development, production or distribution of Contest materials, and those living in the same household. By participating in this Contest, entrants acknowledge compliance with, and agree to be bound by, these Contest Rules. Entrants who do not comply with any of the Contest Rules are subject to disqualification by the Sponsor, in Sponsor’s sole discretion.

  1. CONTEST PERIOD

The Contest begins at 09:00 a.m. (Edmonton Time) on October 1, 2019, and ends at 04:00 p.m. (Edmonton Time) on November 30, 2019, at which time the Contest closes (herein the “Contest Period”).

  1. HOW TO ENTER

Subject to Section 7 herein, enter the Contest by joining the EIA rewards or jetSet rewards program online, during the Contest Period, on Edmonton Airports’ website or by creating an account on the jetSet parking website and joining jetSet rewards.  EIA rewards and jetSet rewards members that joined the program before November 30, 2019 will automatically be eligible for the Contest.

  1. ABOUT EIA REWARDS

EIA rewards is a free program open to the public and enrollment is completed online at www.flyeia.com/rewards or by creating an account with jetSet Parking at www.jetSetparking.com/yeg  and choosing to join jetSet Parking rewards at the end of the reservation.

  1. PRIZE SPONSORS

The Main Prize is sponsored by Edmonton Regional Airports Authority (hereinafter also referred to as the “Sponsor”).

  1. PRIZE

There is one main prize. The Main Prize is further described as follows:

A flight certificate for two (2) non-stop flights from Edmonton to any non-stop California destination with your choice of airline including accommodations. Maximum flight value and accommodations for two people not to exceed $3000. Flights and accommodations are to be booked with Paull Travel by the expiry date stated on the flight certificate and before the end travel date by November 30, 2020 subject to flight availability and flight schedule. Flights must be non-stop from Edmonton to the destination. For non-Edmonton and area winners, the flights may originate from another Canadian city, but must connect in Edmonton.

In no situation will the approximate value of the main prize exceed $3000.

  1. VALID ENTRIES

In order to be eligible for a Main Prize, valid entries must be received within the Contest Period and in accordance with these Contest Rules. Entry requirements for the prizes are as follows:

  • Entries may only be made online by joining EIA rewards or jetSet Parking rewards by creating an account and selecting jetSet parking EIA rewards members must confirm their e-mail address after joining the program to be eligible to win prizes;
  • All entries become the sole property of the Sponsor and none will be returned for any reason;
  • All entries must be received no later than the end of the Contest Period; and
  • Entries will be declared invalid if they are lost, late, illegible, incomplete, irregular, forged or mechanically reproduced.
  1. ELIGIBILITY

All board members, directors, officers and employees of Edmonton Airports, along with their immediate family are not eligible to participate in the Contest. For the purpose of these Contest Rules, “immediate family” means husband, wife, spouse, mother, father, brother, sister, son and/or daughter, whether or not they reside in the same household. Sponsor shall have the right at any time to require proof of identity and/or eligibility to participate in the Contest. Failure to provide such proof may result in disqualification.   1. GENERAL RESTRICTIONS CONCERNING PRIZES

(a)      A winner may only win one Main Prize from this Contest.

  • Main Prize travel must be booked by the certificate expiry date, typically sixty (60) days after the draw date and travel taken by November 30, 2020, as stated on the travel certificate from Edmonton International Airport to any Canadian non-stop destination with airline of their choice. The Main Prize winner shall be solely responsible for all travel expenses over and above the value of the flight cost, including but not limited to: travel to and from the winner’s residence and Edmonton International Airport, travel and medical insurance, travel documentation, other insurance fees, meals, in-room charges, gratuities, telephone calls and any other fee, charge or expense not explicitly whatsoever associated with the Main Prize winner’s travel.

(c)      Main Prize must be accepted as awarded and cannot be transferred, assigned, substituted or redeemed for cash or other form, except in Edmonton Airports’ sole discretion.

  1. WINNER SELECTION

(a)      The winning entries for the Main Prize will be selected at random from all eligible entries received prior to the Main Prize draw date.  The Main Prize draws will be held at the offices of Edmonton Airports within the first (10) ten business days from the end of the Contest Period.

(b)     The odds of being selected as a Main Prize winner is dependent upon the number of eligible entries received. Before being declared a Main Prize winner, the potential winner shall be required to answer, without assistance of any kind, whether mechanical or otherwise, a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question during a pre-arranged telephone call or face to face meeting, comply with these Contest Rules, and sign and return the Prize Declaration and Release form (defined below).

(c)      The Main Prize winners will be notified by e-mail no later than 05:00 p.m. (Edmonton Time) on December 6, 2019. Upon notification, the selected potential winners must respond by e-mail or telephone to the e-mail or contact number provided in the notification within three (3) business days of such notification. If the selected potential winner does not respond in accordance with these Contest Rules, they will be disqualified and will not receive the Main Prize and another potential winner may be selected. Sponsor is not responsible for the failure for any reason whatsoever of a selected potential prize winner to receive notification or for Sponsor to receive a selected potential winner’s response.

  1. RELEASE

The winner of a  Main Prize will be required to execute a legal agreement and release (herein “Prize Declaration and Release”) that confirms (a) eligibility for the Contest and compliance with these Contest Rules; (b) acceptance of the Main Prize as offered; (c) the release of the Sponsor and its affiliates, employees, directors, officers, suppliers, agents, sponsors and administrators (collectively, the “Releasees”) from any and all liability for any loss, harm, damages, cost or expense arising out of participation in this Contest, participation in any Contest-related activity or the acceptance, use, or misuse of the Main Prize, including without limitation costs, injuries, losses related to personal injuries, death, damage to, loss or destruction of property, rights of publicity or privacy, defamation, or portrayal in a false light, or from any and all claims of third parties arising there from; (d) agreement to indemnify and hold harmless the Releasees from any and all liability relating to any loss, harm, damages, cost or expense of any guest travelling with the winner arising from the prize-related activity or during any guest’s use or misuse of the Main Prize, including without limitation costs, injuries, losses related to personal injuries, death, damage to, loss or destruction or property, rights of publicity or privacy, defamation, or portrayal in a false light, or from any and all claims of third parties arising from the actions of the guest; and (e) a grant to the Sponsor of the unrestricted right, in the Sponsor’s discretion, to produce, reproduce, publish, broadcast, communicate by telecommunication, exhibit, distribute, adapt and otherwise use or re-use the Main Prize winner’s photograph, likeness, voice and biography, in any and all media now known or hereafter devised, in connection with the Contest and the promotion and exploitation thereof. The executed Prize Declaration and Release form must be returned within two (2) business days of the verification as a winner or the selected potential Main Prize winner will be disqualified and the Main Prize forfeited.

By participating in the Contest, each entrant: (a) grants to the Sponsor the right to use their name, mailing address, telephone number, identity on Facebook, Twitter, and/or Instagram, and e-mail address (“Personal Information”) for the purpose of administering the Contest, including but not limited to contacting and announcing the winners; (b) if selected as a  Main Prize winner, grants to the Sponsor the right to use their name and likeness for publicity and promotional purposes relating to the Contest, in any and all media now known or hereafter devised, without further compensation unless prohibited by law; and (c) acknowledges that the Sponsor may disclose their Personal Information to third-party agents and service providers of the Sponsor in connection with any of the activities listed in (a) above. The Sponsor will use entrants’ Personal Information only for identified purposes, and protect entrants’ Personal Information in a manner that is consistent with Edmonton Airports’ Privacy Statement located at http://corporate.flyeia.com/node/17632 .

  1. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

(a)      By submitting an entry for this Contest, the entrant grants the Sponsor: (a) the rights to all intellectual property in that entry; and (b) a waiver of moral rights for the post submitted in favour of the Sponsor. The entrant also represents that: (a) it has all rights, licenses and permission and consents necessary to submit the entry; and (b) the entry does not and will not infringe or violate the rights of any third party or entity.

(b)     All intellectual property of the Sponsor, including but not limited to trade-marks, trade names, logos, designs, promotional materials, drawings, illustrations, slogans and representations are owned by or under the licensed use of the Sponsor and/or its affiliates. All rights are reserved. Unauthorized copying or use of any of the Sponsor’s copyrighted material or any of the Sponsor’s intellectual property without the express written consent of its owner is strictly prohibited.

  1. TERMINATION

Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to terminate the Contest, in whole or in part, and/or modify, amend or suspend the Contest, and/or the Contest Rules in any way, at any time, for any reason without prior notice.

  1. LAW

The Contest is subject to applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws and regulations. These Contest Rules are subject to change without notice in order to comply with any applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws or the policy of any other entity having jurisdiction over the Sponsor. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of the Contest Rules or the rights and obligations as between the entrant and the Sponsor in connection with the Contest shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Alberta including procedural provisions without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules or provisions that would cause the application of any other jurisdiction’s laws.

  1. LANGUAGE DISCREPANCY

In the event of any discrepancy or inconsistency between the terms and conditions of the Contest Rules and disclosures or other statements contained in any Contest-related materials, including but not limited to Contest entry forms, or point of sale, television, print or online advertising, the terms and conditions of the Contest Rules shall prevail, govern and control.

(herein, the “Contest Rules”)

  1. Sponsor. The SHOP DINE WIN (the “Contest”) is sponsored by the Edmonton Regional Airports Authority, 1, 1000 Airport Road, Edmonton International Airport, Alberta, Canada T9E 0V3 (the “Sponsor”). This Contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with any other parties. The contest is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter.

 

  1. Eligibility. This Contest is open to legal residents of Canada, excluding Quebec, who have reached the age of majority in their province or territory of residence at the time of entry and are legally permitted to travel to any destinations which may form a part of the prize(s), with the exception of employees of the Sponsor, its parent, related and affiliated companies, subsidiaries, departments or agencies, franchisees, suppliers, advertising and promotional agencies, contest administrators, and any other parties engaged in the development, production or distribution of Contest materials, and those living in the same household. By participating in this Contest, entrants acknowledge compliance with, and agree to be bound by, these Contest Rules. Entrants who do not comply with any of the Contest Rules are subject to disqualification by the Sponsor, in Sponsor’s sole discretion.
  2. Contest Dates and Times. The Contest begins on August 5, 2019 at 06:00 local time in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and ends on October 31, 2019 at 23:59 local time in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada (the “Contest End Date”) after which time the Contest will be closed and no further entries will be accepted.
  3. How to Enter. You can enter by posting your photo featuring one of the shops, restaurants, or services on Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter. For this Contest receipt of an Internet entry occurs when Sponsor’s server records the entry information. All entries must be complete and are subject to verification by the Sponsor, in its sole discretion. Limit one (1) entry per person.

Any attempt or suspected attempt to use robotic, automatic, programmed or otherwise illicit means to enter the Contest, or any other methods not authorized by these Contest Rules, for example, but not limited to, creating multiple accounts, identities, or registrations, all in the Sponsor’s sole discretion, shall be deemed as tampering and may disqualify you from entering, participating and/or winning a prize. Entries that contain false or incomplete information are void. Entries that are late, lost, stolen, illegible, contain false information, are damaged, misdirected, mutilated, garbled or incomplete, altered or otherwise irregular or that do not conform with or satisfy any or all of the conditions of the Contest Rules are void. Entrants grant Sponsor a non-exclusive licence to use all entries for any purpose. No correspondence will be entered into except with Selected Entrants.   1. Contest Prizes. There are a total of one (1) prizes available to be won as follows: two (2) round-trip business class vouchers from Edmonton to San Francisco, non-stop, with Air Canada. Travel must take place between December 1, 2019 to November 30, 2020. Vouchers to be redeemed with Paull Travel Ltd Edmonton. (up to a total value of $2500).

All winners assume any and all liability for any injury or damage caused, or claimed to be caused, by entering, participating in this Contest or the use or redemption of a prize. Prizes must be accepted as awarded and have no cash value. Prizes or any portion of a prize cannot be combined with other discounts, promotions or special offers. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute an alternate prize of equal or greater value if an advertised prize is unavailable at the time of award.

  1. Odds of Winning. The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received before the Contest End Date.
  2. Skill-testing Question. Selected Entrants will be required, as a condition of winning a prize, to correctly answer, without assistance of any kind, the Sponsor’s time-limited, mathematical skill-testing question to be administered by email.
  3. Winner Selection and Confirmation. On November 4, 2019 at 09:00 local time in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada at 1, 1000 Airport Road, Edmonton International Airport, AB, Canada (the “Draw Date”) the Sponsor, or an employee, agent or other representative of the Sponsor, will conduct a random draw from all eligible entries received before Contest End Date and select the potential winners (the “Selected Entrants”). Selected Entrants will be deemed winners if they meet all of the eligibility criteria set out in these Contest Rules. If a Selected Entrant does not meet the eligibility criteria, he/she will be disqualified and will not receive a prize and another entrant will be selected by way of a random draw from the remaining eligible entries. Before being declared a winner, Selected Entrants will be required to: (i) correctly answer the Sponsor’s skill-testing question; (ii) sign and return the Sponsor’s Declaration of Eligibility and Liability/Publicity Release form (the “Winner Release”); and (iii) comply with all other Contest Rules, all in the sole discretion of Sponsor.

Selected Entrants will be notified within ten (10) business days of the contest draw and will be contacted through the social media channel in which they entered the contest provided at the time of entry into the Contest. Up to three attempts will be made to contact Selected Entrants within five (5) business days following the draw. A Selected Entrant that does not or cannot accept a prize may be forfeited and a new Selected Entrant selected by random draw, in the Sponsor’s sole discretion. Disputes regarding identity of entrant: If the identity of a Selected Entrant is disputed, the entry will be deemed to have been submitted by the individual assigned to the email address attached to the social media account used at the time of entry (the “Authorized Account Holder”). Each Selected Entrant may be required to provide proof that he/she is the Authorized Account Holder associated with a selected entry.

  1. Other Conditions. The Sponsor reserves the right to terminate or amend this Contest at any time and in any way, without prior notice to entrants. Without limiting the foregoing, if, for any reason, the Contest is not capable of running as originally planned for any reason, the Sponsor reserves the right to cancel the Contest and conduct a random draw from all previously received eligible entries received by the Contest End Date.
  2. Publicity and Entrant Information. By participating in the Contest, entrants consent to the use of their name, address, email address, postal code, telephone number, social media handle(s), comments and image, whether on videotape, photograph or any other means, for the administration of the Contest or any publicity carried out by the Sponsor, without further notice or compensation. Any and all information provided in this contest provided to Sponsor not Facebook.
  3. Law. The Contest is void where prohibited by law and is subject to all applicable Canadian federal, provincial, territorial, municipal and local laws. This Contest shall be governed exclusively by the laws of the Province of Alberta, including all issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Contest rules, rights and obligations between entrants and the Sponsor, and procedural provisions, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules. Any dispute shall be adjudicated by the courts sitting in Edmonton, Alberta.
  4. Rule Amendments. The Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to amend or modify these Contest Rules, or modify, cancel or suspend this Contest, without prior notice for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation in the event that any cause beyond the reasonable control of the Sponsor corrupts, or threatens to corrupt, the security or proper administration of the Contest.
  5. Language Discrepancies. In the event of any discrepancy or inconsistency between the terms and conditions of the Contest Rules and disclosures or other statements contained in any Contest-related materials, including but not limited to Contest entry forms, or point of sale, television, print or online advertising, the terms and conditions of the Contest Rules shall prevail, govern and control.
  6. Intellectual Property. All intellectual property, including but not limited to trademarks, logos, designs, photos, promotional materials, web pages, source codes, images, drawings, illustrations, slogans and representations are owned by the Sponsor. All rights reserved. Unauthorized copying or use of any of the Sponsor’s intellectual property without the express written consent of the Sponsor is strictly prohibited.

Entries must not infringe upon or violate any laws or any third-party rights, including, but not limited to, copyright, patent, trademark, trade secret or other proprietary rights and must not constitute material that would be considered libeling, defamatory, or a privacy violation.

Entrants must obtain all necessary permissions, licenses, clearances, releases, waivers of moral rights and other approvals from third parties (including but not limited to all copyright holders and all individuals appearing in the story submission), necessary to use the entry, in whole or in part, in any way, including to reproduce, make derivatives, edit, modify, translate, distribute, transmit, publish, license and broadcast the entry worldwide, by any means, without limitation. Any and all such permissions, licenses, clearances, releases, waivers of moral rights and approvals must be included.

The owner of an entry retains ownership over the entry. Each entrant (and his/her/their parent or guardian) irrevocably and in perpetuity grants the Sponsor a world-wide, royalty-free, irrevocable and non-exclusive right and licence to use, copy, adapt, transmit, communicate, publicly display and perform, distribute and create compilations and derivative works or merchandise from the entry for any use the Sponsor decides.

Each entrant (and his/her/their parent or guardian) represents and warrants that he/she/they have the right to grant the licence set out above.

  1. Currency. Unless otherwise stated, all references in this Agreement to dollar amounts, “dollars” or “$” are references to Canadian dollars.

EDMONTON REGIONAL AIRPORTS AUTHORITY AND THE PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHERS OF CANADA’S CONTEST “THE PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHERS OF CANADA SOCIAL MEDIA CONTEST” (HEREIN THE “CONTEST”) SHALL BE CONSTRUED AND EVALUATED ACCORDING TO APPLICABLE CANADIAN LAW.  VOID IN WHOLE OR IN PART WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW. ENTRY IN THE CONTEST CONSTITUTES ACCEPTANCE OF THESE CONTEST RULES (HEREIN THE “CONTEST RULES”). NO PURCHASE NECESSARY.

  1. ELIGIBILITY

To be eligible for the First Prize (as described in Section 5 below) of this Contest, an individual must:

  • be of the age of majority in Alberta, Canada; and

  • be of the age of majority in Alberta, Canada;

  • be legally able to travel outside to the chosen destination.
  1. CONTEST PERIOD

The Contest begins at 9:00 a.m. (Edmonton Time) on October 28th, 2019, and ends at 3:00 p.m. (Edmonton Time) on November 4th, 2019, at which time the Contest closes (herein the “Contest Period”).

  1. HOW TO ENTER

Subject to Section 6 herein, enter the Contest to win a prize as follows:

(a)     For the First Prize enter to win the Contest by correctly responding to any of the ten (10) images selected by PPOC on the @flyeia Facebook page during the Contest Period (the “Contest Images”). Multiple entries per person are permitted, but there will only be two (2) entries per person allowed for every Contest Image.  One (1) entry per person for each Contest Image is permitted by ‘liking’ a Contest Image, and another entry is permitted by ‘sharing’ a Contest Image, provided that the entrant’s ‘liking’ or ‘sharing’ of the Contest Image allows for Edmonton Regional Airports Authority to access the name of the entrant; and

(b)    For the Second Prize enter to win the Contest by being the photographer of the Contest Image that received the most likes on the @flyeia Facebook album (voted by the community and followers of Edmonton Regional Airports Authority on Facebook) during the Contest Period.

  1. PRIZE SPONSORS

The prizes are sponsored by Edmonton Regional Airports Authority (hereinafter collectively referred to as the “Sponsor”).

  1. PRIZE

There are two (2) prizes described as follows:

  • One (1) $50.00 gift card for Premium Outlet Collection for the first prize (the “First Prize”); and
  • One (1) travel voucher from Paull Travel in the amount of five hundred dollars ($500.00) for the second prize (the “Second Prize”) to be used towards return airfare to any of Edmonton International Airport’s non-stop destinations located at flyeia.com/nonstop .
  1. 6. VALID ENTRIES

In order to be eligible for a prize, entry requirements are as follows:

  • All entries for the First Prize must be received no later than the end of the Contest Period; and
  • Entries will be declared invalid if they are lost, late, misaddressed or misdirected due to technical or computer failures, errors or data loss of any kind, lost or unavailable internet connections, or failed incomplete, garbled or deleted computer or networks transmissions, inability to access the website or online service, or any other technical error or malfunction.
  1. ELIGIBILITY

All employees of the Sponsor, along with their immediate family are not eligible to participate in the Contest. For the purpose of these Contest Rules, “immediate family” means husband, wife, spouse, mother, father, brother, sister, son and/or daughter, whether or not they reside in the same household. Sponsor shall have the right at any time to require proof of identity and/or eligibility to participate in the Contest. Failure to provide such proof may result in disqualification. All personal and other information requested by and supplied to Sponsor for the purpose of this Contest must be truthful, complete, accurate and in no way misleading. Sponsor reserve the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any entrant, should any entrant at any stage supply untruthful, incomplete, inaccurate or misleading personal details and/or information.

  1. GENERAL RESTRICTIONS CONCERNING PRIZES

(a)       The Second Prize winner shall be solely responsible for all travel expenses over and above the value of the flight cost, including but not limited to: travel to and from the winner’s residence and Edmonton International Airport, travel and medical insurance, travel documentation, other insurance fees, meals, accommodations, in-room charges, gratuities, telephone calls and any other fee, charge or expense not explicitly associated with the Second Prize winner’s travel.

(b)     Travel voucher must be booked within three (2) months from the date of winning and trip is to be taken before the end travel date (up to twelve (12) months from the date of winning and subject to flight availability and flight schedule). Blackout dates may apply.

(c)     Travel must depart and return to the Edmonton International Airport and be booked to one of Edmonton International Airport’s non-stop destinations located at www.flyeia.com/non-stop.

(d)     Once airline tickets have been issued, a change fee may apply for re-issuance of any tickets.

(e)     Prizes must be accepted as awarded and cannot be transferred, assigned, substituted or redeemed for cash or other form, except in Edmonton Regional Airports Authority’s sole discretion.

  1. WINNER SELECTION

(a)   The winning entry for the First Prize will be selected at random from all eligible entries received prior to the end of the Contest Period.  The prize draw for the First Prize will be held at the offices of Edmonton Regional Airports Authority on November 4, 2019 at 4:00 p.m. (Edmonton Time).

(b)   The winning entry for the Second Prize will be the photographer of the Contest Image that received the most ‘likes’ during the Contest Period. The Second Prize winner will be announced to PPOC by Edmonton Regional Airports Authority on November 4, 2019.

(c)   The odds of being selected as a First Prize winner is dependent upon the number of eligible entries received.  The odds of being selected as a Second Prize winner is dependent upon being selected as a photographer to have a Contest Image posted on @flyeia Facebook during the Contest Period. Before being declared a prize winner, the potential prize winner may be required to answer, without assistance of any kind, whether mechanical or otherwise, a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question during a pre-arranged telephone call or face to face meeting, comply with these Contest Rules, and sign and return a Prize Declaration and Release form (defined below).

(d)     The First Prize winner will be notified by Facebook within three (3) hours from the draw and then directed to message Edmonton Regional Airports Authority for details on how to claim their prize. The Second Prize winner will be notified by PPOC within forty-eight (48) hours, and then directed to message Edmonton Regional Airports Authority for details on how to claim their prize. Upon notification, a selected potential winner must respond to the appropriate Sponsor as directed within three (3) business days of such notification. If the selected potential winner does not respond in accordance with these Contest Rules, they may be disqualified and will not receive a Prize and another potential winner may be selected. Sponsor is not responsible for the failure for any reason whatsoever of a selected potential prize winner to receive notification or for Sponsor to receive a selected potential winner’s response.

  1. RELEASE

The winner of a Prize will be required to execute a legal agreement and release (herein “Prize Declaration and Release”) that confirms the winner’s: (i) eligibility for the Contest and compliance with these Contest Rules; (ii) acceptance of  a Prize as offered; (iii) release the Sponsor and its affiliates, employees, directors, officers, suppliers, agents, sponsors and administrators (collectively, the “Releasees”) from any and all liability for any loss, harm, damages, cost or expense arising out of participation in this Contest, participation in any Contest-related activity or the acceptance, use, or misuse of a Prize, including without limitation costs, injuries, losses related to personal injuries, death, damage to, loss or destruction of property, rights of publicity or privacy, defamation, or portrayal in a false light, or from any and all claims of third parties arising there from; (iv) agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Releasees from any and all liability relating to any loss, harm, damages, cost or expense of any guest travelling with the winner arising from  Prize-related activity or during any guest’s use or misuse of a Prize, including without limitation costs, injuries, losses related to personal injuries, death, damage to, loss or destruction or property, rights of publicity or privacy, defamation, or portrayal in a false light, or from any and all claims of third parties arising from the actions of the guest; and (v) grant to the Sponsor the unrestricted right, in the Sponsor’s discretion, to produce, reproduce, publish, broadcast, communicate by telecommunication, exhibit, distribute, adapt and otherwise use or re-use a Prize winner’s photograph, likeness, voice, facebook post and biography, in any and all media now known or hereafter devised, in connection with the Contest and the promotion and exploitation thereof. The executed Prize Declaration and Release form must be returned within two (2) business days of the verification as a winner or the selected potential Prize winner will be disqualified and the Prize forfeited.

  1. INDEMNIFICATION BY ENTRANTS

By entering the Contest, each entrant releases and holds the Releasees harmless from any and all liability for any injuries, loss or damage of any kind to the entrant, Releasees, or any other person, including personal injury, death, or property damage, resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from acceptance, possession, use or misuse of any Prize, participation in this Contest, any breach of these Contest Rules, or in any prize-related activity. Each entrant agrees to fully indemnify Releasees from any and all claims by third parties relating to the Contest, without limitation.

  1. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

Sponsor assumes no responsibility or liability for lost, late, misdirected or incomplete entries, notifications, responses, replies or any release that may occur. Sponsor is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information. Sponsor assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of entries. Each entrant assumes liability for injuries caused or claimed to be caused by participating in the Contest, or by the acceptance, possession, use of, or failure to receive a Prize. Sponsor assumes no responsibility or liability in the event that the Contest cannot be conducted as planned for any reason, including those reasons beyond the control of the Sponsor, such as tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, or corruption of the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Contest.

  1. CONDUCT

By entering this Contest, each entrant agrees to be bound by these Contest Rules. Each entrant further agrees to be bound by the decision of the Sponsor, which shall be final and binding in all respects. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any entrant found to be: (i) violating the Contest Rules; (ii) tampering or attempting to tamper with the entry process or the operation of the Contest and/or (iii) acting in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE THE CONTEST OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS. SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK REMEDIES AND DAMAGES TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO CRIMINAL PROSECUTION.

  1. PRIVACY / USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

By participating in the Contest, each entrant: (i) grants to the Sponsor the right to use their name, mailing address, telephone number, facebook post, identity on facebook, twitter, and/or instagram, and e-mail address (“Personal Information”) for the purpose of administering the Contest, including but not limited to contacting and announcing the winners; (ii) if selected as  Prize winner, grants to the Sponsor the right to use their facebook post, name, likeness and photograph for publicity and promotional purposes relating to the Contest, in any and all media now known or hereafter devised, without further compensation unless prohibited by law; and (iii) acknowledges that the Sponsor may disclose their Personal Information to third-party agents and service providers of the Sponsor in connection with any of the activities listed in (i) above. The Sponsor will use entrants’ Personal Information only for identified purposes, and protect entrants’ Personal Information in a manner that is consistent with the Sponsors’ Privacy Statement located at http://www.flyeia.com/terms of use.

  1. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

(a)     By submitting a post on any website for this Contest, you grant the Sponsor: (i) the rights to all intellectual property in that post; and (ii) a waiver of moral rights for the post submitted in favour of the Sponsor. You also represent that: (i) you have all rights, licenses and permission and consents necessary to submit your post; and (ii) your post does not and will not infringe or violate the rights of any third party or entity.

(b)     All intellectual property of the Sponsor, including but not limited to trade-marks, trade                names, logos, designs, promotional materials, drawings, illustrations, slogans and representations are owned by or under the licensed use of the Sponsor and/or its affiliates. All rights are reserved. Unauthorized copying or use of any of the Sponsor’s copyrighted material or any of the Sponsor’s intellectual property without the express written consent of its owner is strictly prohibited.

  1. TERMINATION

Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to terminate the Contest, in whole or in part, and/or modify, amend or suspend the Contest, and/or the Contest Rules in any way, at any time, for any reason without prior notice.

  1. LAW

The Contest is subject to applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws and regulations. These Contest Rules are subject to change without notice in order to comply with any applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws or the policy of any other entity having jurisdiction over the Sponsor. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of the Contest Rules or the rights and obligations as between the entrant and the Sponsor in connection with the Contest shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Alberta including procedural provisions without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules or provisions that would cause the application of any other jurisdiction’s laws.

  1. LANGUAGE DISCREPANCY

In the event of any discrepancy or inconsistency between the terms and conditions of the Contest Rules and disclosures or other statements contained in any Contest-related materials, including but not limited to Contest entry forms, or point of sale, television, print or online advertising, the terms and conditions of the Contest Rules shall prevail, govern and control.

EDMONTON REGIONAL AIRPORTS AUTHORITY’S (“EDMONTON AIRPORTS”) “EIA HIDDEN GEMS CONTEST”  (HEREIN THE “CONTEST”) SHALL BE CONSTRUED AND EVALUATED ACCORDING TO APPLICABLE CANADIAN LAW. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY.  VOID IN WHOLE OR IN PART WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW. ENTRY IN THE CONTEST CONSTITUTES ACCEPTANCE OF THESE CONTEST RULES (HEREIN THE “CONTEST RULES”).

INTRODUCTION

The EIA Hidden Gems Contest (the “Contest”) is sponsored by The Edmonton International Airport (the “Sponsor”).

ELIGIBILITY

The Contest is open to residents of any province or territory of Canada, excluding Quebec, who are over the age of majority in their province of residence.  Employees of the Sponsor, or of its advertising and promotion agencies, and their immediate family members (defined as parents, children, siblings, spouse, and life partners, and/or those living in same household) of each are not eligible to enter the Contest.

Multiple entries will be permitted. Register your entry with the required information, including your name, phone number, and e-mail address, along with any other required information. By doing the above, each eligible entrant will have their Entry submitted to the Contest and will qualify as a participant (“Participant”), and will give permission to the Sponsor to post their Entry information to Sponsor’s contest landing page https://flyeia.com/shop-dine-relax/contests/hidden-gems

The Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole and unfettered discretion, to disqualify at any time during the Contest any entry that it believes may infringe on the rights of any third parties, is deemed inappropriate, lewd or offensive in anyway.

In the event of a dispute, all electronic entries will be deemed made by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at time of entry.

Each submission is considered one (1) entry.

PROMOTION PERIOD

The Contest is divided into two phases. Phase One begins at 12:00 a.m. Mountain Standard Time on November 4, 2019, and ends at 11:59 p.m. Mountain Standard Time on November 12, 2019, (the “Phase One Promotion Period”). Phase Two begins at 9:00 a.m. Mountain Standard Time on November 13, 2019, and ends at 9:00 p.m. Mountain Standard Time on November 16, 2019, (the “Phase Two Contest Period”). Entries received prior to the Phase Two Contest Period and after the Phase Two Contest Period are disqualified from eligibility for the Contest.

USE OF DATA

Sponsor will be collecting personal data about participants when they enter the Contest. By participating in the Contest, entrants hereby agree to that all personal information collected by Sponsor may be used in accordance with and subject to The Edmonton International Airport Privacy Statement http://www.flyEIA.com/terms_of_use

Upon submitting an entry the participant agrees that the Edmonton International Airport has permission to post their name that will appear on the EIA website http://www.flyEIA.com.

AGREEMENT TO OFFICIAL RULES

Participation in the Contest constitutes entrant’s full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these Official Rules and Sponsor’s Privacy Statement  (http://www.flyEIA.com/terms_of_use) and willingness to be contacted by phone or email. If any provisions of these Official Rules are held to be invalid or unenforceable, all remaining provisions hereof will remain in full force and effect.

SELECTION OF POTENTIAL WINNERS

Potential winners must comply with all terms and conditions set forth in these Official Rules and winning is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements.  All prize winners will be chosen by random draws on the dates disclosed below.

If a potential Grand Prize winner cannot be contacted or does not respond within 48 hours of Sponsor’s first attempt to contact such potential winner, the first alternate will be declared the potential winner.  If the first alternate is similarly cannot be contacted or does not respond, the second alternate will be declared the potential winner.

  1. Phase Two Prize (Phase Two Contest)

All entries submitted during the Phase Two Contest Period will qualify to be randomly selected as the winner of the Phase Two Contest. Contest closes at 8:00 p.m. MST each day. One winner will be selected by random draw to be conducted by 9:00 p.m. on each day. Winners will be notified within 2 hours of the end of the Phase Two Contest Period day (see “Prizes” for details). If the Phase Two Prize winner cannot be contacted or does not respond within 48 hours of the Sponsor’s first attempt to contact such potential winner the prize will be forfeit and an alternate will be awarded such prize.

PRIZES

The Phase Two Prize will be the following for each day. Flights are to be booked with Paull Travel by the expiry date stated on the flight certificate and before the end travel date by November 30, 2020 subject to flight availability and flight schedule. Flights must be non-stop from Edmonton to the destination. For non-Edmonton and area winners, the flights may originate from another Canadian city, but must connect in Edmonton.

November 13, 2019 – Two flights to any of our Canadian non-stops, $1,500

November 14, 2019 – Two flights to any of our North American non-stops, $3,500

November 15, 2019 – Two flights to any of our European non-stops, $3,500

November 16, 2019 – Two flights to any Edmonton International Airport non-stops plus an additional $1000 spending bonus, $4,500

All Prizes are subject to the following material conditions and restrictions:

Once a potential winner is contacted by Sponsor, such potential winner will be required to answer a mathematical skill testing question without mechanical aid. This test will be conducted over the phone. If the skill testing question is answered correctly, Sponsor will provide you with a release document confirming your compliance with these contest rules, which you will be required to sign and return to Sponsor in order to claim your Prize and be declared an official winner (the “Winner”).  Upon receipt of your release by Sponsor, the relevant prize will be sent by Canada Post to your home address unless other arrangements are mutually agreed between the winner and Sponsor. Prizes will be accepted as stated and no compensation will be offered as a substitution for the Prize. Prizes are not transferable to any other person and no cash alternative will be offered.

Any required federal, provincial and local taxes related to the Prize are the sole responsibility of the Winner. The prize itself and shipping to an address provided by the winner are the sole liability of Sponsor. All other expenses and costs, not expressly listed above, including further transportation or accommodation, are the Winner’s sole responsibility.

CONDITIONS OF WINNING:

By participating in this Contest, each Participant hereby warrants and represents that their entry does not infringe the rights of any person or entity, and that such participant has obtained all permissions, licenses and rights required to lawfully participate in these Contests.

Without limiting the generality of these Official Rules, Winners shall irrevocably grant, transfer, convey and assign to Sponsor the use of featuring their Entry Information on Sponsor’s social media channels, Sponsor’s website http://www.flyEIA.com, and any other communications released from Sponsor.

The Participant retains all the rights to their entry.

GENERAL CONDITIONS

The Contest is governed by the laws of the Canada and the Province of Alberta and participants in the Contest hereby consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of those laws for any causes or controversies arising out of the Contest. Each participant waives any and all objections to jurisdiction and venue in these courts. All national, federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Void where prohibited.  This contest is not open to residents of Quebec.

Except where prohibited by law, Winner grants to Sponsor and its advertising agencies the right to use and publish Winner’s photo, proper name, likeness, voice, opinions, biographical information and state in any media to promote Sponsor and the Contest without additional compensation.

By entering, participants release and hold harmless the Sponsor their respective subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, employees and agents from any and all liability for any injuries, loss or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with the Contest or receipt or use and/or misuse of any prize.

Sponsor reserves the right to cancel or modify the Contest if fraud or any other factor impairs the integrity of the Contest as determined by Sponsor in Sponsor’s sole discretion.

If, in Sponsors opinion, there is any suspected or actual evidence of electronic or non-electronic tampering with any portion of the Contest, or if technical difficulties compromise the integrity of the Contest, the Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to void any entries at issue (including disqualifying any individual who tampers with the entry process), and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest, in whole or in part, at any time without notice.

Sponsor is not responsible for any incorrect, inaccurate, illegible, incomplete, lost, late, damaged, destroyed, misdirected or unintelligible entries or information, which will be disqualified, or for failed, partial or garbled computer transmissions, whether caused by the website users or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Contest or by any technical or human error which may occur in the processing of submissions in the Contest for reasons which are beyond the Sponsor’s control. Sponsor does not assume responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries for reasons which are beyond the Sponsor’s control. Sponsor is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line-systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, software or failure of email on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website or combination thereof, including injury or damage to participants or to any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participating in the Contest except to the extent that any death or personal injury is caused by the negligence of the Sponsor.

Contest Sponsors reserve the right to substitute prizes.
