Airport Parking
Driving to the airport? There are plenty of parking options for you. We recommend you book in advance and reserve your spot. Visit our parking page here.
Public Transportation
Edmonton Transit System Route 747 can get you and your luggage to YEG in just 17 minutes from the Century Park LRT station for only $5. You can even enjoy free Wi-Fi on the bus.
Leduc Transit #10 can take you between the City of Leduc and YEG.
On Airport transit services are available to get you around the airport.
Airport Taxi Service is available at Edmonton International Airport with several taxi and limousine service companies.
Uber or Lyft can you between YEG and anywhere in the Edmonton Metro Region.
Car rentals at YEG are available from Alamo, AVIS, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Hertz, National and Thrifty.
Arriving at the airport
Arrive early to the airport – a minimum of 2 hours ahead of your domestic flight and 3 hours ahead of your international flight.
It is a good idea to check your flight status online before you leave home.

Going through security
Tips from CATSA for a smooth process through security.

Before you get to the bins, place your valuables (passport, watch) and other small items inside your carry-on bag. If you are using your cellphone as your boarding pass, keep it handy and ready to be scanned.

You will be asked to remove any large electronic from its carrying case and to place it in a bin with nothing on top or underneath it.

Remove your 1L travel-sized liquids, aerosols and gels bag from your carry-on bag and place it in a bin.

Place your carry-on bag and all outwear in a bin.
- Don’t forget to gather all your items once you clear the security checkpoint!
After security
After you clear security screening, it’s time to find your gate. Here is a terminal map so you can plan ahead.

Travelling with kids? We have kids play areas in the following locations:
- by Gate 16 (after security in Domestic-International Departures)
- by Gate 68 (after security in Domestic-International Departures)
- by Gate 88 (after security in US Departures)
Crossing the border: returning to Canada or visiting

- Make sure you carry proper identification for yourself and any children or minors travelling with you
- If entering Canada by air, you can make your customs declaration 72 hours in advance of your arrival to Canada using Advance Declaration
