Commercial Filming & Photography at YEG
Filming and Photography Requests
Permission is required when using airport property for on-location photography or filming feature films, TV series, documentaries, commercials or general entertainment programs. To conduct any filming or photography at YEG, you will be required to complete our Commercial Filming and Photography Application Form. We kindly ask for a minimum of four weeks notice for filming or photography projects.
We aim to respond to all applications within 5-7 business days of receiving your application. While we strive to accommodate filming and photography requests, YEG reserves the right to decline projects that do not align with our mission, vision or values.
Access to areas occupied by our partners must be approved by YEG and the business partner.

Where to film aircraft
If you’d like take photos or video aircraft taking off or landing, here are some great spots!
YEG View Park
Leduc and District Chamber of Commerce Tourist Information Centre
6420 – 50 Street, Leduc
YEG View Park is east of QE II Hwy and Runway 12/30 (southeast/northwest). The location is ideal because aircraft are still very low in their ascent or descent as they soar over the park.
Public Observation Area
Level 3, (Mezzanine) YEG Main Terminal
This deck provides great views of the aircraft gates, aprons and taxiways.
On Level 2, take the escalator or elevator between Flight Stop and Central Security up to Level 3 to the Observation Deck/Mezzanine. Follow the bridge to Central Tower.
