Following a distinguished 35-year career in finance, Mona Hale retired in 2020 from Finning International as the Senior Vice-President, Global Commercial and Financial Performance Management. Prior to joining Finning, she was Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer with Edmonton Economic Development Corporation, and over the course of her career held several senior executive level finance and operational positions in various industries including telecommunications, mining, and oil and gas.

Mona served on several Boards including the University of Alberta as a Board Governor and Chair of the Board Audit Committee, a past Director of TEC Edmonton, past Chair of the Edmonton Financial Executives International, and past Chair of the United Way Capital Region. She is a Fellow of the Chartered Accountants of Alberta and a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Alberta and is a past recipient of the YWCA Women of Distinction business award. Mona holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Alberta.
