Bernie Kollman, a dedicated leader, focuses on enhancing our community economically and socially. Currently on the boards of Edmonton Global, Arrkann Trailer and RV, and a Trustee of Melcor REIT, she has a diverse board background, including former roles as Board Chair of Travel Alberta and the Edmonton Chamber of Commerce. With 30 years in business leadership and innovation in the technology sector, Bernie served as vice president of IBM Canada’s public sector business in Alberta and as senior executive in Edmonton. She currently chairs a peer mentoring group, MacKay CEO Forums, offering guidance to CEOs and executives.

Bernie, a University of Regina graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, received a distinguished Alumni Award for community service. Recognized for her commitment to advancing the IT profession, especially for young women, she received accolades such as the City of Edmonton Citation Award, Salute to Excellence, and was named a Fellow of the Canadian Information Processing Society. Bernie’s extensive community involvement includes chairing the United Way Campaign, leading fundraising initiatives for UofA, Edmonton Public Libraries, and Olympic athletes. Currently, she volunteers as the Edmonton Chapter Chair of the Institute of Corporate Directors, contributing to local directors’ professional development and governance education.
