Arriving at the airport

Arrive early to the airport – a minimum of 2 hours ahead of your domestic flight and 3 hours ahead of your international flight.

It is a good idea to check your flight status online before you leave home.

We recommend checking-in online through your airline’s website.

Save time by booking your spot in the security screening line using YEG EXPRESS.

Going through security

Tips from CATSA for a smooth process through security.

  • Before you get to the bins, place your valuables (passport, watch) and other small items inside your carry-on bag. If you are using your cellphone as your boarding pass, keep it handy and ready to be scanned.
  • You will be asked to remove any large electronic from its carrying case and to place it in a bin with nothing on top or underneath it.
  • Remove your 1L travel-sized liquids, aerosols and gels bag from your carry-on bag and place it in a bin.
  •  Place your carry-on bag and all outwear in a bin.
  • Don’t forget to gather all your items once you clear the security checkpoint!
