International Border Testing pilot program
The Government of Alberta’s International Border Testing pilot program is anticipated to begin operating at Edmonton International Airport when international flights resume operations.
This program is for passengers returning directly to Edmonton from outside of Canada. Passengers travelling domestically within Canada do not qualify for the program. Depending on the results of the testing, you may have fewer restrictions required during your quarantine period upon returning to Canada.
The program will operate only when flights are scheduled to arrive at EIA from outside of Canada.
The program is not a rapid test. Passengers who are eligible for the test will be contacted by Alberta Health Services in the days after the test is conducted with their test results.
The program is for returning passengers only, it is not available for the general public or passengers who are departing on a flight.
If you are seeking a test for travel outside of Canada, please contact Dynalife for private testing options for travellers.
For more information on the program and to determine if you are eligible, please visit the Government of Alberta’s website.

Alberta Health Services personnel will verify your information and issue two requisitions for your test.
One requisition will be handed in here and you receive your throat swab. Save the next requisition for your follow-up test.
