Swanberg Air to launch Grande Prairie-Edmonton International service June 1

Edmonton, Alta. — Grande Prairie-based Swanberg Air today announced a new three-times-a-week, twice-daily service between Edmonton International Airport and Grande Prairie.
The non-stop service from the Shell Aerocentre will begin Friday, June 1 and follow a Monday-Wednesday-Friday schedule. The growing Swanberg Air Inc. has been providing scheduled and charter services in Alberta since 2000.
“We will offer the same great hassle-free service our dedicated customers have come to rely on,” says James McNally, Swanberg Air General Manager. “We are pleased to partner with Edmonton International Airport to provide this important service between two of Alberta’s key cities.”
Schedule
Departure times on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays are as follows:
• Grande Prairie to Edmonton — 7 a.m.
• Edmonton to Grande Prairie — 8:30 a.m.
• Grande Prairie to Edmonton — 4:45 p.m.
• Edmonton to Grande Prairie — 7:30 p.m.

Grande Prairie and the Peace region are significant markets for Edmonton International Airport. In 2006, passenger traffic between the Edmonton International and Grande Prairie increased by 53 per cent.
