Sunwing adds new winter flight series from Edmonton to Cancun

TORONTO, ONTARIO–(Marketwire – Jan. 23, 2013) – Due to extraordinary demand, Sunwing is pleased to announce the addition of winter flights from Edmonton to Cancun, Mexico. The new flights will depart on Tuesdays, commencing February 12, 2013 until April 9, 2013.

“We’ve seen a great demand for Cancun and the Mayan Riviera from Edmonton this winter,” said Andrew Dawson, President of Tour Operations. “So much so, that space was very limited on our three existing weekly flights and we were unable to satisfy the continued demand. We’re delighted to continue to serve the central Alberta region with this new flight.”

Cancun offers an array of activities and attractions for all ages along with an effervescent nightlife. This exciting beach destination offers world class shopping, fine dining, sizzling entertainment, as well as arts and cultural attractions, such as the newly opened Maya Museum. Cancun is also an ideal destination for those interested in visiting historical and archaeological sites, such as Chichen Itzá.
