New Multi-Million Dollar, World Class, 18-Hole Golf Course & Facility

Edmonton, Alberta – Grant Puddicombe, who represents both the Design Team of Sid Puddicombe Associates Ltd. and the Ownership Group of Hawks Landing Golf Ltd., introduced the new Six Million-Dollar Project called RedTail Landing Golf Club. This “World Class” 18-hole Championship Golf Course encompasses 234 acres of land, located at the entrance of the Edmonton International Airport AirLinks Business Park, just 6.5 km south of Edmonton. As a Par 72 ranging in length from 5500 – 7330 yards, it will become one of the longest and most challenging courses in the area, yet with five teeing areas on each hole, it will be very enjoyable for all levels of golfers. The design of the golf course has incorporated over ½ million m3 of earthmoving to create undulating terrain, giving the course a “Prairie Links” look.

This golf course will also have a 19-acre learning facility that will allow public access as well as private lessons. A par 72 putting course is also part of the plan along with a designated RV parking area. The Clubhouse will break ground in May of 2002 and will offer a pro shop as well as a lounge/grill for the public. A separate tournament facility will be built to host the tournaments and special events. The primary market for this course is corporate tournaments and daily fee public play. The course is designed to accommodate large crowds with stadium-like shaping for major events.

RedTail Landing Golf Club will be a welcome addition to the Edmonton Golf market and plans to offer the public a “private club” atmosphere for the day. It will also provide an economic boost to the Edmonton and surrounding area.
