New members appointed to Edmonton Airports Board of Directors

Board of Directors also names new Chair and Vice-Chair
EDMONTON — Edmonton Airports Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of three new board members – Bryan Bailey, Anne McLellan and Tom Redl. All three members are appointed by the City of Edmonton.
“We are pleased to welcome these distinguished members of our community to the board,” says Margaret Bateman, Chair, Edmonton Airports Board of Directors. “With their diverse experiences in business, public life and community endeavours, all three will be valuable contributors to the guidance and governance mandate of the board.”
Bryan Bailey replaces Gary Hanson, who resigned during his second term to pursue a career opportunity in the U.S.
Bailey is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta, Chartered Business Valuator, and Certified Financial Planner who has sat on a variety of community and cultural boards.
McLellan and Redl replace Margaret Bateman and Allister McPherson, both 10-year members of the board, whose terms expire at the end of 2007.
McLellan, a four-term Member of Parliament for Edmonton Centre, is counsel for Bennett Jones LLP, Distinguished Scholar-in-Residence at the University of Alberta’s Institute for United States Policy, and a member of various corporate and community boards.
Redl is President and Chief Executive Officer of Chandos Construction. Redl chaired the Citadel Theatre in 2006-07, bringing strength in governance and in leading high-performance boards of directors.
New Chair and Vice-Chair appointed
Chair Margaret Bateman and the entire Edmonton Airports Board of Directors are also pleased to announce the selection of Gordon J. Clanachan as Chair and David B. Margolus, QC, as Vice-Chair. Clanachan and Margolus will replace outgoing Chair Margaret Bateman and outgoing Vice-Chair Allister McPherson.
Clanachan is the owner of Clanachan Enterprises, a consultant firm established in 1999 that provides interim management and business advisory services. He is a Chartered Accountant and is a member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants. He is actively involved in the community as a member of the board of governors of the University of Alberta and the Edmonton Rotary Club and also serves on a number of corporate boards.
Margolus is counsel and Partner of Witten LLP and serves as a board member with a number of public and private corporations.
