EDMONTON — Scott Clements, President and CEO of Edmonton Airports, has announced the appointment of Jim Meyer to the position of Vice-President, Marketing and Communications for Edmonton Airports. Meyer becomes one of four (4) official Officers of the company.

Mr. Meyer most recently served as Director, Air Service Development for Edmonton Airports. Meyer’s leadership and dedication to air service goals has been instrumental in Edmonton’s recent air service successes, including the introduction of non-stop Denver and non-stop Chicago flights. Meyer’s portfolio has now expanded to include the communications function for the company in addition to the passenger and air cargo development and related marketing initiatives he previously led.

“We are pleased to see Jim lead the important functions of marketing and communication for our organization”, said Clements, “combining these two departments, will streamline operations and strengthen the marketing and communications initiatives of Edmonton Airports.”

Prior to Meyer’s career with Edmonton Airports, Meyer held various positions with the City of Edmonton, most recently serving as Manager, Marketing and Business Development for the Edmonton Municipal Airport.

Mr. Meyer is an active member of many industry associations. Most notable are his memberships on the Alberta Strategic Marketing Council Board, the City of Edmonton Tourism Partnership, the Tourism Industry Association of Canada, and the Canadian Institute of Planners.
