FlyEdmonton.com allows travellers to “look before they book”

30 daily flights to and from nine U.S. non-stop destinations signal a new era in Edmonton air service
Edmonton — Travellers can now more easily choose Edmonton International Airport for all of their U.S. and international air travel plans with the fun and quick FlyEdmonton.com website.
FlyEdmonton.com anchors the FlyEdmonton.com — It Means the World awareness campaign, highlighting the 30 daily flights to and from nine non-stop U.S. destinations now available at Edmonton International Airport (EIA). With the substantial increase in air service at EIA over the past several years, travellers not only have excellent access to the U.S., but one-stop access to virtually anywhere in the world.
“We encourage travellers to â€˜look before they book’ to ensure they fly to and from Edmonton on the many non-stop flight choices now available beyond Alberta,” says Reg Milley, Edmonton Airports President and CEO. “When travellers book their flights through EIA, they’re voting to maintain and improve Edmonton air service.”
The first website phase highlights U.S. non-stop flights and international/sunspot charter destinations served from EIA. The next phase will include non-stop Canada/domestic services.
On FlyEdmonton.com passengers can click on a U.S. non-stop city and a number of sample destinations will quickly build right before their eyes.
A flight schedule from EIA will also build to show the time of departure for the flights to that city. With that schedule, a customer can either click through to the associated airline to book their trip or click through to a travel agency database to choose their favorite travel agent to book their trip.
If the destination they are looking for is not one of those sample destinations, one click will bring them to an area where they can pop in their destination and a number of schedule alternatives will be provided.
The website will also return valuable data about Edmontonians travel preferences that Edmonton Airports will use to create business cases for air service enhancements and additions.
