First-Class Comfort Officially Opens to All Edmonton International Airport Passengers

Plaza Premium Lounge opens new lounge for Domestic/International flights

May 16, 2013 (Edmonton, AB) – Plaza Premium Lounge today opened a new lounge at Edmonton International Airport (EIA) to serve passengers flying on Domestic and International flights.

Plaza Premium Lounge provides comfortable, quiet lounges with first-class service open to all passengers with a valid boarding pass. The concept breaks the preconception that lounge use is exclusively for first or premium class travellers.

“I believe that travel should be a pleasure; it should begin the moment you step into the airport and it is my aim to provide comfort and convenience to all travellers going through this airport,” says Song Hoi See, the Founder and CEO of Plaza Premium Lounge Management Limited. “We’re not only providing lounge facilities to all travellers, but we’re also taking the experience one step further, we’ve designed a food menu which far exceeds the food usually found at a lounge, we’ve further developed our software system to ensure for a seamless experience, and our service training has been refined to focus on interactivity – we are redefining the airport experience!”

The latest lounge is the second airport pay-in lounge at EIA, and it joins the 25 airport-strong network of Plaza Premium Lounge around the world.

“Mr. Song is a true pioneer in his vision of an airport VIP lounge open to all airport users regardless of airline or class of travel. This partnership builds on our drive to provide customers with a truly first-class airport experience,” says Reg Milley, EIA President and CEO.

Guests can enjoy comfortable seating, business workstations, internet access, newspapers, magazines, television, a food buffet and alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages. Hours of operation are from 4:30 a.m. to midnight daily.  Walk-in pricing starts at $35 +tax.

Several dignitaries helped unveil the new lounge: Mayor John Whaley of Leduc County, Mayor Greg Krischke of the City of Leduc, Edmonton Airports Board Chair Tom Redl, Reg Milley and Song Hoi See, who flew especially from Hong Kong to Edmonton for this special occasion.
