EIA and Continental Airlines Launch New Houston Service
with First Flight Festivities

WHO: Edmonton International Airport and Continental Airlines

WHAT: Edmonton International Airport (EIA) will welcome Continental
Airlines new non-stop service to Houston, Texas with the inaugural
inbound and outbound flights.

WHERE: Edmonton International Airport

WHEN: Nov. 1, 2009 (first arrival from Houston)
9:30 p.m.
Nov. 2, 2009 (first departure to Houston)
5:15 a.m.—latest time for media arrival and registration

Media is invited to join EIA and Continental Airlines as we
celebrate the launch of the new Edmonton-Houston daily non-stop
service. On the evening of Nov. 1, EIA will welcome the inbound
flight with a banner-busting arrival experience for the incoming
passengers including food and entertainment. Media should meet the
group on the far south end of the arrivals level near the Canada
Border Services Agency office.

On Monday morning, media should meet EIA Communications staff at
the Continental Airlines check-in desk in the south terminal no
later than 5:15 a.m. to sign in and receive a security clearance. A
formal program will begin shortly thereafter in the US boarding
lounge next to the Continental Airlines departure gate.
Representatives from both EIA and Continental will give brief
remarks about the new route and passengers in the lounge can enjoy
the pre-flight fun with a catered breakfast and local country music
singer Kory Wlos. The flight will depart for Houston at 6:40
a.m.
