Edmonton — Edmonton Airports today welcomed Air Canada’s announcement to introduce new non-stop service to Hawaii commencing in December 2002. Air Canada is introducing twice weekly non-stop service for Edmonton-Honolulu and weekly Edmonton-Maui for the winter 2002-2003 season.

Hawaii is a major outbound leisure market for the Capital Region and has been consistently well supported by vacation travellers.

Edmonton Airports President and CEO Scott Clements states, “We are very pleased with Air Canada’s decision to offer non-stop service to Hawaii for the upcoming winter season. This early announcement will allow customers to plan their holidays well in advance.”

The Air Canada flights will begin December 1, 2002 and will be operated on Boeing 767 aircraft. Customers can contact their travel agent or book directly with Air Canada.
