On behalf of our airport staff and agencies, Edmonton Airports continues to extend its sincere sympathies to all those affected by the recent tragic events.

Edmonton Airports, under the direction of Transport Canada, remains at a high level security alert. Flights remain cancelled from Edmonton International Airport until directed otherwise by Transport Canada; therefore we are not in a position to forecast when normal flight operations will resume. Updates will be provided on this website when circumstances change. Travellers should also check with their specific airlines for updates (http://www.flyeia.com/bins/content_page.asp?cid=8-24-27)

Edmonton Airports anticipates that all morning flights on September 12th WILL NOT operate from Edmonton International Airport. We continue to ask that public and passengers not come to the airport.

Edmonton Airports is not expecting any further flight diversions to Edmonton International Airport. All passengers and crew on the six safely diverted aircraft (see earlier advisory for details) that remain at Edmonton International Airport have been assigned hotel accommodations. Therefore, our communities’ heartfelt offers of private accommodation and general support is greatly appreciated; however, not required at this time.
