Edmonton Airports Announces Incoming President and CEO1
Edmonton — Today Edmonton Airports Board of Directors announced Mr. Reg Milley has been selected as incoming President and Chief Executive Officer of Edmonton Airports, thus concluding a national search process that commenced earlier this year.
“Reg is known throughout this industry as a strong leader with a track record of effective management, respect for his team and excellent relationship building skills,” stated Edmonton Airports Board of Directors Chair Margaret Bateman. “Reg represents an excellent fit with the strong executive team that he will lead, and we look forward to the skill, expertise, and commitment that Reg will bring to Edmonton Airports.”
Mr. Milley is currently President and Chief Executive Officer of the Halifax International Airport Authority, a position he has held since January 2001. Halifax International Airport is the largest air transportation complex in Atlantic Canada. As President and CEO, Mr. Milley created a position of financial strength for the organization, leading the authority through a period of industry instability, numerous challenges, and an aggressive expansion program. Mr. Milley created an aggressive planning regime including a 20-year Masterplan and 5-year Capital & Strategic Plan.
Mr. Milley also developed a strong relationship with the community, and has been recognized for his expertise and leadership through a number of awards, including being named one of Atlantic Canada’s Top 50 CEO’s by Atlantic Business Magazine (2002). His leadership expertise includes a number of appointments, including his current responsibilities as Chair of the Canadian Airports Council, which acts as the voice of Canada’s airports working with public policy makers and other stakeholders on issues of common interest to airports across Canada.
“I am very excited about joining the team in Edmonton and know that together, we will build upon the many accomplishments that have been achieved to date,” stated Reg Milley.
Over the next few weeks Mr. Milley will continue to work with his team and community
in Halifax to implement a strong transition for Halifax International Airport Authority. Mr. Milley will commence his new role at Edmonton Airports on February 01, 2005.

Biography
Mr. Reg Milley
Reg Milley joined the Halifax International Airport Authority as President and Chief Executive Officer in January 2001. Halifax International Airport is the largest air transportation complex in Atlantic Canada.
Prior to joining the Halifax International Airport Authority, Mr. Milley was a Vice President and Lead Officer with Husky Energy Inc. of Calgary, Alberta. He held a variety of positions at Husky, including Vice President of Retail Marketing and Vice President of Corporate Administration. Prior to Husky, he was the head of the Gander Development Corporation in Newfoundland, which included the responsibility of marketing the airport along with the 500-acre industrial complex located at the airport. He also worked for the Province of Newfoundland as a Senior Industrial Development Officer.
Mr. Milley is a graduate of Memorial University of Newfoundland. Mr. Milley Chairs the Canadian Airports Council (CAC) and holds Directorships in the Atlantic Canada Airport Association (ACAA), Tourism Industry Association of Nova Scotia (TIANS), Greater Halifax Partnership (GHP), World Theatre Festival & Congress, and Queen Elizabeth II Health Sciences Centre Foundation.
Mr. Milley and his wife Marcie have two children, Catherine and Kent. Catherine is currently attending the University of Saskatchewan and Kent is at the University of Dalhousie.
