Edmonton — Edmonton Airports Board of Directors is pleased to announce the selection of Margaret Bateman to a second term as Chair and Allister McPherson as Vice-Chair.

Both Bateman and McPherson were appointed to the board on April 8, 1997 and will finish their second full consecutive term on Dec. 31, 2007.

Appointed by the City of Edmonton, Bateman is a founding partner of Calder Bateman, an Alberta-based, full-service communications agency. Bateman serves on several community boards, including the Edmonton Police Foundation.

Also appointed by the City of Edmonton, Allister J. McPherson is recently retired as Executive Vice-President for Canadian Western Bank (CWB). McPherson currently serves as Board Chair of the Credit Union Deposit Guarantee Corporation and Chair of the Endowment Fund Policy Committee, an advisory committee to the Alberta Minister of Finance.

Both are looking forward to driving Edmonton Airports’ new vision: To be the North’s preferred gateway to the World; and the World’s preferred gateway to North.

Edmonton Airports is a not-for-profit organization mandated to manage the region’s airport assets on behalf of and in the best interest of the community.
