AOG International Freight Logistics relocates to Edmonton International Airport

One-Stop Freight Logistics Company joins EIA Cargo Village

March 5, 2013 (Edmonton, AB) – AOG International Freight Logistics, has expanded operations and moved “on-airport” at Edmonton International Airport (EIA). The locally-owned company specializes in freight forwarding and project logistics and is one of the fastest-growing freight forwarding companies in Canada with 28 per cent growth in 2012.

The new location provides a cost-effective operating base for AOG, with immediate access to air cargo carriers, the Queen Elizabeth II Highway (Canamex trade corridor) and the Leduc-Nisku Industrial Park (largest energy park in Canada and second largest in North America).

“It is very exciting to join the growing EIA Cargo Village community. This excellent location is next to the cargo carriers we work with daily. We like EIA’s vision and want to be part of the great things happening here,” said Christina Forth-Matthews, President and CEO of AOG.

“AOG International is a valuable addition to EIA’s Cargo Village, and fills the increasing need for freight forwarding in Alberta and northern Canada. We’re really pleased to welcome AOG International to the EIA family,” said Myron Keehn, EIA Vice President of Commercial Development.

This operation and other land development projects reflect EIA’s multi-million dollar commitment, ensuring the necessary infrastructure is in place to support the airport’s growing cargo sector.  This includes a dedicated cargo apron, land servicing for newly constructed cargo buildings for carriers such as Cargojet and Purolator, and a new Canada Border Service Agency (CBSA) facility. The expanded space for cargo aircraft and the new handling facilities increase EIA’s cargo handling capacity, which now provides five day per week wide-body freighter operations with FedEx, connecting Alberta’s manufacturers and shippers to the world.

Proficient in air, ocean and ground transportation, AOG International offers a full portfolio of services with unlimited global coverage. The company provides complete freight management service encompassing the whole logistics process, custom tailored to client needs. Service includes supply chain management, from raw materials to finished product, in multiple branch locations, with rates, routes and timelines. AOG International’s commitment to customers is to provide a one stop, time critical, 24-hour, 365-day freight logistics service. AOG International operates two offices; a head office at EIA and a branch office in Houston, Texas.
