Another general aviation business takes off at EIA

New leasable space for general, corporate and commercial aviation

October 6, 2010 (Edmonton, Alta.)-General, corporate and small commercial aviation operators now have another option for hangar and office space at Edmonton International Airport (EIA). Today, Edmonton-based company 1497668 Alberta Ltd. announced it will lease a 30,000 square foot complex and offer subleases to other aviation tenants. This is a part of a growing number of general aviation support services being provided at EIA.

“We’re looking forward to developing Edmonton and Alberta’s bustling general aviation sector from our new base at EIA,” said Rob Reeves, of 1497668 Alberta Ltd. “This hangar space represents a great opportunity for anyone looking to locate their aviation businesses or aircraft storage at EIA.”

The hangar is part of the former SPAR Aerospace complex on EIA’s Apron Two, north of the main terminal. Tenants there have convenient access to runways as well as close proximity to several other aviation businesses.

“With the changing landscape for regional general and corporate aviation, we need to ensure there are lots of options available for business development,” said Reg Milley, EIA President & CEO.  “Today’s announcement, combined with other recent general aviation announcements, helps illustrate the ample space available for tenants wishing to locate or relocate to EIA.”

More information about leasing is available through Rob Reeves at 780 699 9536 or EIA at 780 890 6700.
