Airport Valet Parking Flys High in 1st Year
EDMONTON – The Valet Parking service at Edmonton International Airport celebrates one year of operation today. The service was introduced on April 20, 1998.
In just its first year, the service has proven to be highly successful as shown by the following numbers:
Valet attendants parked more than 4,700 vehicles in the one-year period.
1,200 different customers used valet parking in the one-year period.
The service’s most frequent customer used valet parking 50 times in the one-year period.
“We introduced valet service as a premium level of customer service for passengers who wish to maximize efficiency travelling to and from the airport,” said Scott Clements, President & CEO, Edmonton Airports, “the success is a credit to the level of customer service that valet parking offers.”
To use the valet service, customers drop off their vehicle at the valet kiosk located at the center the Departures Level. Professional attendants collect customers’ keys and their return flight information. Upon the customer’s return, their vehicle is waiting for them where it was left, at the front door of the terminal.
The cost of this service is $9.00 per visit in addition to regular parking costs. For maximum efficiency, customers are encouraged to contact the Valet desk in advance of their trip at 890-8998.
