Lorna Lampman is a singer/songwriter based out of Edmonton, Alberta. With smouldering vocals that echo heartbreak and longing, she is a vocalist who, without reservation, wears her heart on her sleeve. The art of self expression and vulnerability has always been important to Lorna and that transpired in her passion for drawing and singing at a young age. At the age of seven, her family bought a seventy-seven Rhodes electric piano, and that truly sparked Lorna's love for voice and instrument together.
With powerful vocals, haunting lyrics and infectious keys, Lorna's songs originate from the themes of love, loss and redemption. Inspired by a wide range of solo artists including but not limited to Kate Bush, Jonatha Brooke and Joni Mitchell, Lorna Lampman puts her own personal stamp on everything she touches. Lorna has proudly played at numerous performance venues throughout the city including the Edmonton International Jazz Festival. Showcasing a collection of new originals throughout venues in Alberta, Lorna also currently working on a full length album, set to be released in fall 2017.
